Survey Technician – Land Survey Department

JOB POSTING

Responsible for creating detailed drawings such as boundary, right-of-way and topographical surveys, as well as profiles, plats and other related drawings/maps. These are essential for real property transactions, planning, development and civil engineering design projects.
Creates calc points for construction staking projects.
Ability to read construction documents.
Coordinates with field crew as needed.
Checks level loop notes.
Conducts deed/plat research.
Analyzes field data.
Other duties as assigned.

Familiarity with state plane coordinates systems, geodetic calculations and grid to surface calculations.
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center software, MS Office.
Complete multiple assignments successfully through effective multi-tasking and prioritizing.
High attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Effective problem solving/analytical skills.
Must have a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license.
Ability to work with a team or independently, as needed.
